This is an erotic romance but it is WAY different than the usual erotic romance crap you read. Shaye Marlowe has an amazing sense of humor and her characters, based in the Alaska outback are quirky, funny, and over the top hilarious. They get into all kinds of trouble, like crashing planes, trebuchet and catapult wars, capture by crazy (really) fathers and threatened with being skinned alive. Pet ermines who take over refrigerators and oh, it just goes on. I was sitting in bed sick, snickering and laughing my way through this book. Of course, there is sex. Lots of romps. She writes sex amazingly well, but the story is the thing here. The story will have you unable to put the book down. There are twists in here I did NOT see coming. Shotgun weddings, bear hunts, kidnapping in outhouses, it just goes on and on.
